Welcome to 6th grade ELA and the 640 POD. I hope all of you had a good summer and are ready to start back to school! I am looking forward to meeting you and spending time with you this year!
I realize that the move to middle school can be challenging for students and parents. I will do whatever I can to make this transition as smooth as possible. To achieve the best results we need to work together as team: the parent, the student and myself.
A brief bio about me: My undergraduate and master’s degrees are from The University of South Carolina (house divided – my son is a student at Clemson). I am certified as highly qualified in middle school English and I am a certified Reading teacher. This year will be my 24th year of teaching school, nine of which include teaching middle school English.
